(Washington, DC) -- Fewer people are seeking unemployment help.
The Labor Department's latest numbers show 444-thousand Americans filed initial claims for jobless benefits last week. That's the lowest level since mid-March of last year. The biggest increases in claims were in Georgia, Washington, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.
The biggest drops were in Michigan, New York, Vermont, Nevada, and Florida.
