Agreement Reached For Medina Spirit To Compete In Preakness

(Baltimore, MD) -- Medina Spirit will get the opportunity to race for the second leg of the Triple Crown in this weekend's Preakness Stakes.

Trainer Bob Baffert's attorney announced they have agreed to a deal for the winner of the Kentucky Derby to compete Saturday.

Baffert has agreed to blood testing monitoring and a medical record review by the Maryland Jockey Club.

If at any point Medina Spirit tests positive for a banned substance, Baffert has promised to scratch the horse before Saturday's race.
