(Clearwater, FL) -- A council member in Florida is breathing a sigh of relief after almost losing a million-dollar winning lottery ticket.
Clearwater's Hoyt Hamilton matched five of the six numbers for the April 17th drawing, but a clerk at a Publix store accidentally tossed the winning ticket in the trash.
Hamilton realized the mistake and rushed back to the store, where the winning ticket was retrieved.
