FAA Fines Boeing $6.6M As Repairs Begin On 88 Planes

(Washington, DC) -- Boeing is agreeing to pay a six-million dollar fine.

The FAA says most of the money is for not complying with a 2015 safety agreement. The rest is to settle two other safety-related issues.

The fines come a day after a report found the FAA still needs to do more to hold Boeing accountable after two deadly crashes. The jets were grounded for almost two years.

Repairs are now being made on 88 others planes built over the last year or so.
