(Fargo, ND) -- The Fargo community has paid a special tribute to a fellow resident for his service to the nation.
The Quilts of Valor Foundation honored General Alexander Macdonald on Saturday with a presentation of his own quilt.
The Red River Quilters sewed his quilt.
The Wahpeton-based chapter of the Quilts of Valor has created and presented over 240 quilts in the last five years.
The quilt symbolizes service and sacrifice for the country.
