(WILLISTON) – Three Williston School Board members are facing a recall election next Tuesday.
Current School Board President Chris Jundt, Vice President Kyle Renner and board member John Kasmer are all facing recall.
The Williston Basin School District is facing scrutiny after a North Dakota State Auditor’s Office audit of the district found 21 different areas of concern, including inaccurate bank reconciliations, $377 million in unsupported adjusted journal entries, $6 million in debts not included on financial statements, no record of school board approval of nearly $2 million in purchases made and the district’s budget not in compliance with North Dakota State Law.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the ARC in Williston. Those voting are asked to enter through the west door.
