(Fargo, ND) -- A No Travel Advisory is being issued to all counties across the state.

This comes from officials within the North Dakota Department of Transportation, who as of this publication, have stated the entire state is under a no travel advisory. I-94 between Jamestown and the Montana border and several other roads, including US 52 East between Jamestown and Minot, are closed.

"NDDOT and the National Weather Service anticipate severe winter weather will create difficult travel conditions in much of North Dakota Friday night through Sunday morning. Snow and strong winds will cause impacts to travel. Winter Storm Alerts have been issued for much of the state. Please consider your travel plans. Motorists should be aware of rapidly changing conditions and are encouraged to reduce speeds and drive according to the conditions," said a statement from the North Dakota Department of Transportation, who added that motorists who drive past road closures could face fines up to $250.

In addition, over-dimensional vehicles have been temporarily restricted from Northwest and Southwest state roads at this time because of the winter storm. An updating map of road conditions in our area can be found by clicking here
