(Fargo, ND) -- Some cause for concern across North Dakota Thursday after a supposed round of school threats were called in to multiple school districts across the state.

The first of the calls reportedly came in to Bismarck Public Schools a little before 10:30 a.m, leading law enforcement in the state capitol to step in and issue a lockdown. That call was determined to be a hoax shortly after the lockdown was announced.

Then, around the same time, multiple Fargo schools also received calls threatening schools in the district. This led to Fargo North High School being locked down, along with a police presence at Ben Franklin Middle School as well. Parents have reached out to WDAY Radio and have told us the lockdown only last a short amount of time and has been lifted.

A similar threat was also made to schools up in Grand Forks as well. According to the Fargo School District, all of the calls placed were for an 'active shooter' on campus at the different schools called.

This comes just days after eight different threats, determined to be hoaxes, were called in to Minnesota schools over a two-day span.

Fargo Police, along with other responding authorities across the state, are investigating the calls.
