(Fargo, ND) -- The owner of the She Said Butcher Shop in Moorhead is expecting to reopen Tuesday after a deer smashed through the front door Saturday.

"It was entire chaos from the time she came in to the time left, and ever since after that it's just been kind of a whirlwind of chaotic-ness," said Melissa Evans.

Evans says she and her daughter were in the backroom around noon, when the deer busted through the glass door. The animal was inside the shop for about 10 seconds before running back out the door. Thankfully no one was injured and Evans says it appears the animal was not injured, though the deer struck her head against a wall leaving a hole. The front door is now boarded up and Evans says it could be several weeks for replacement glass to arrive.

"My daughter was screaming there's a deer in here, there's a deer in here and I was just completely stunned. I couldn't move, my jaw was on the floor. It was just like what in the actual world, of all the things I thought was happening. that was not any of them," said Evans.

Interestingly, Evans says she was already planning on offering deer processing in the near future. She also says the incident has prompted national media coverage.
