(Fargo, ND) -- This coming Saturday offers you a chance to team up with your mail carrier to "stamp out hunger".

"So our food drive is very crucial this time of year. We want to do the best we can to get the food bank and the food pantries through the summer months," said Fargo mail carrier Mike Fosberg.

Fosberg is among the mail carriers nationwide taking part in the 30th annual National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on May 14th. It's the largest single day food drive in the nation and is returning for the first time since 2019, following a two year hiatus because of Covid-19. To participate, your asked to set out a bag or box of non-perishable food items, such as canned goods and boxes of mac an cheese.  Your mail carrier will pick up the food, with all food items eventually taken to the Great Plains Food Bank in Fargo.
