(Fargo, ND) -- U.S. Senate candidate and North Dakota State Representative Rick Becker is clarifying questions about his personal faith.
"I have never said, never have been an atheist. I am a Christian. It's a little unseemly to try to prove to people that you are Christian enough," said Becker.
Becker talked about his beliefs while speaking with host Scott Hennen on "What's on Your Mind" on AM 1100 the Flag. Becker was responding to previous claims by Hennen that Becker was an atheist. Becker said he was raised and confirmed Catholic. but used the words "Gnostic" and "Agnostic" in describing his beliefs. He also referenced the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas in describing his understanding of God saying "God is beyond full comprehension".
