4:15 p.m. CT update:

SURREY, ND -- Surrey Public Schools says no threat has been found.

"Local authorities have searched the school and surrounding area and have found no immediate threat to our school, students, or staff," a report on the school district's website said. "The school is safe to enter and will be open today until 6:00pm if anyone needs to collect personal belongings.  Our school counselor will be available until 5pm if any students would need to visit about today's happenings."

The school thanks local law enforcement, staff and parents for helping in the emergency.

SURREY, ND -- The Surrey Public School has been evacuated, according to the school website.

A posting on the website says, "Due to special circumstances we have been ordered to evacuate the school immediately. Your child or children are not in any immediate danger. They are currently being transported to the following evacuation sites: Grades K-6 will be at Surrey City Hall and grades 7-12 will be at Hope Lutheran. Please make arrangements to pick up your children immediately."
