(Fargo, ND) -- A crowd gathered along 45th Street and I-94 in Fargo Thursday afternoon to welcome truckers participating in the Freedom Convoy as they rolled eastward through the city on their way to Washington, D.C.  Many of the people who gathered held American flags, and some held signs with messages of support for the truckers.

T-shirts were also being sold at the location to help raise money for the truckers.  The convoy was inspired by a similar demonstration recently in Canada.

The truckers are demonstrating accident mandates ordered in response to Covid-19.

"Freedom isn't free. If we don't stand up, we'll be Canada, Australia," said Leon Francis, who gathered at the site to support the truckers.
