(Fargo, ND) -- A state lawmaker accused of misdemeanor theft in Bottineau County says he is not guilty.
State senator Jason Heitkamp says he was in Bottineau early last week to retrieve some stuff from his former girlfriend. He added that he did not steal anything and has not seen a copy of the complaint.
Heitkamp is scheduled to appear in court on November 2nd.
