Drone Camp for Kids set to return to Tioga

(Tioga, ND) – The fifth annual Drone Camp for Kids is making a return to Tioga, following a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dennis Lindahl, Economic Development Director for the City of Tioga, on the Energy Matters radio program Saturday afternoon on KTGO, said the kids are excited to return for the two-day event, scheduled for August 14 and 15 at the Tioga Community Center. Students grades 5-12 are invited to attend. Those that are there for the first time will leave with their own drone, courtesy of Enel Green Power North America. The students will be taught how to fly the drone, in addition to air safety, aerodynamics and privacy when using the drones. In addition, for students already have been to Drone Camp, there is a Robotics Camp. Lindahl says the Robotics Camp will teach students how to assemble and program the electronics, and students will leave with a robotic car.
