(Fargo, ND) -- The North Dakota Department of Health is urging safety while people enjoy summer events.
Illnesses like E. coli and the flu can be passed from animals to people, so residents are reminded to wash hands if they're around animals.
Anyone who becomes ill after coming into contact with livestock should contact the state.
They can be reached at (701) 328-2378.
