UPDATE: Fargo Police say the standoff is over. The person involved in the standoff has been taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. The situation ended without incident.
(Fargo, ND) -- A South Fargo motel has been evacuated after police say they are now dealing with a barricaded male who was armed with a knife at the Super 8 Motel, 3518 Interstate Blvd. That's right off I-29 north of 13th Ave South on the eastside of the freeway. Police say the male is contained to his room. Guests have been evacuated and officers have a safety perimeter set up. Officers are trying to establish communications with the male but have been unsuccessful so far. The Red River Valley SWAT Team has been called out.
