(Fargo, ND) -- The 2022 Fargo mayoral race may get messy. Mayor Tim Mahoney says he plans to run for another term, but a city commissioner wants more information about it. Tony Gehrig is proposing that the city commission ask voters to keep or eliminate term limits on the same ballot. Mahoney was appointed to fulfill the term of Mayor Dennis Walaker after he died from cancer and was later elected to the post in a special election. He believes he's entitled to another four-year term.
