Fargo Public Library Offers Virtual Penguin-Themed Events for Children

(Fargo, ND) -- Preschool age and older children are invited to attend two virtual events featuring Dyan Denapoli, also known as “The Penguin Lady,” Wednesday, June 23rd, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. as part of the Fargo Public Library’s “Tails and Tales” Summer Reading Challenge event line-up.

The first session is “All About Penguins” and is geared for children ages 3 and up who will learn all about penguins and how they communicate and take care of their young. The second event is “Antarctic Journeys” for children ages 6 and older. This session will teach youngsters about the penguins of Antarctica and participants will experience the breathtaking beauty of the world’s most remote continent.

These free events will be streamed via Zoom. Pre-registration is required, and you can do so by clicking here. Once registered, participants will receive information on how to log into the session.

Dyan Denapoli is a penguin expert, TED speaker and author of the award-winning book “The Great Penguin Rescue.” While on staff at Boston’s New England Aquarium, she took care of the penguins for nine years. She has visited Antarctica four times and shares her passion for penguins and the Antarctic with others whenever she can.
