(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo Public Schools board of education is issuing disciplinary action against one of its members. Board president Rebecca Knutson filed a memo saying Jennifer Benson has failed to wear a mask at the April 27th meeting and on multiple other occasions while in district buildings. The 2020-2021 Smart Restart Plan requires face masks to be worn in all district buildings as a way to fight the spread of COVID-19. Benson has not provided documentation that she qualifies for a medical exemption and argued Monday that the policy was against federal law. Knutson says Benson was violating policy, and the board voted to censure Benson.
