West Fargo National Guard Recruitment Center Open for Business

(West Fargo, ND) -- It took over a year, but the West Fargo National Guard recruitment center building officially opened for business Monday.

The center, which is located at 833 24th Avenue East, near the Costco, had stood with no entry over the past calender year due to the Coronavirus, but that all changed Monday.

"Were all extroverts", said Staff Sergeant Jason Copley. "That's been maybe the hardest part of all this, but most people who've needed questions answered have reached out. We've done okay."

Sergeant Copley did add however that having a physical location open does add another layer to just how they can reach out to those who have questions and maybe aren't sure how to get a hold of the guard.

"There's pretty much always somebody here, Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm", said Copley. "We can even do after hours or weekend appointments, whatever works best for whoever needs us."

Monday was a special grand opening a year in the making, including free t-shirts, lanyards and Jimmy John's subs and drinks for those who stopped by.
