Roger Maris Celebrity Golf Tournament Returns for 37th Season

(Fargo, ND) -- The Roger Maris Celebrity Golf Tournament tees off for the 37th time June 17th, offering both an 18-hole golf tournament and a 9-hole scramble.

The 18-hole tournament takes place at Rose Creek Golf Course, with tee times are 7:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Cost is $800 per team of four.

The inaugural 9-hole scramble takes place at Osgood Golf Course, with tee time at 9 a.m. and the cost is $400 per team of 4. The scramble is an opportunity to engage community members to enjoy a morning of fun in support of cancer survivors and the great care provided by the Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center.

Celebrities playing in this year’s Roger Maris Celebrity Golf Tournament include:

  • Matt Cullen - A Moorhead native, played 21 seasons in the National Hockey League. Cullen scored 266 career goals and is a three-time Stanley Cup champion.

 

  • Kyle Emanuel - Won four NCAA Football Champion Subdivision national championships at North Dakota State University. Emanuel won the 2014 Buck Buchanan Award, given to the most outstanding defensive player in the FCS. Emanuel was a fifth round draft pick in the National Football League draft by the San Diego Chargers.

 

  • Chad Greenway - Played his entire 11-year NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings. Greenway is a two-time Pro Bowler and led the National Football Conference (NFC) in combined tackles in 2010. Greenway is a two-time Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee, given annually honoring a player’s volunteer and charity work, as well as excellence on the field.

 

  • C.J. Ham - Is the starting fullback for the Minnesota Vikings. Signed as an undrafted free agent out of Augustana (S.D.) College in 2016, Ham made the Pro bowl in 2019 and has played in 62 career games.

 

  • Brock Lesnar -  A former professional wrestler and mixed martial artist. Lesnar is a NCAA heavyweight champion, Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight champion and five-time World Wrestling Entertainment champion.

 

  • Gigi Marvin - A Warroad native, is a professional hockey player and has won two silver medals and a gold medal playing for Team USA’s women’s hockey team. Marvin had a standout collegiate career at the University of Minnesota, where she finished her career sixth on the school’s all-time scoring list with 195 points.

 

  • Kyle Rudolph - Tight end for the New York Giants. Rudolph, who spent the first 10 years of his career with the Minnesota Vikings, holds Vikings’ team records for most career touchdowns by a tight end (47) and most receptions in a season by a tight end (83). Rudolph is a three-time Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee.
