South Fargo Fire Displaces Two

(Fargo, ND) -- Two people and a cat are displaced after a fire in South Fargo Tuesday morning.

Fire crews on scene say they were called around 7 a.m. to the 6100 block of 24th Street South, just behind Shanley High School for the fire, and when they arrived, they quickly put out the fire that started on the back deck and spread to the attic.

"The damage was pretty significant," said Battalion Chief Lee Soeth. "They won't be able to stay here for a while."

A crew is staying on scene to put out any hot spots that pop up. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
