Construction Work set to Begin on North and Southbound I-29

(Fargo, ND) -- Starting early next week, North Dakota Department of Transportation contractors will begin project work on I-29 northbound and southbound lanes from 32nd Avenue South to 19th Avenue North.

This project will assist drivers with their lane position in adverse light conditions by completing the black strips following the white strips on the roadway. Beginning early next week, motorists can expect the following traffic impacts along I-29:

• Various lane closures on northbound and southbound I-29 from 32nd Ave S to 19th Ave N
• Traffic reduced to a single lane at times
• Speeds reduced where traffic control is present
• Work is expected to take approximately one week

Motorists should find alternative routes where possible. The NDDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution and expect delays during active construction. Crews will be conscientious of lane closures during peak travel times and only be present during the day.
