MHA Nation Continues Fighting DAPL Shutdown

(New Town, ND)  --  The MHA is continuing to fight the full shutdown of the Dakota Access Pipeline.  Chairman Mark Fox filed a Sworn Declaration last week with the court describing the negative economic impacts on the tribe if the pipeline is completely shut down.  Fox says two-thirds of the revenue produced at Fort Berthold goes to individual tribe members.  The money goes towards tribal healthcare, providing aid during COVID-19 and tribal infrastructure.  The document says over 60-percent of the tribe's oil is taken to buyers through DAPL.
