Student Artwork on Display in Downtown West Fargo

(West Fargo, ND) -- Artwork from student artists at West Fargo High School and Sheyenne High School are on display at downtown West Fargo businesses through the end of April.

The student artists include: Abdikadir Ahmed, Hanadi Alenezi, Kyra Asplin, Gracie Erickstad, Rylie Gustafson, Feralynn Herman, Ashley Hutchens, Kyra Narum, Erin Tschetter, Trent Rengerm and Chloe Zhang. Their artwork represents a variety of course levels and mediums including digital art, oil painting, chalk pastel drawing, graphite drawing, and acrylic painting.

The exhibition coincides with the City of West Fargo’s Color Fest, an art-focused celebration of the urban reconstruction project scheduled to occur along the north end of Sheyenne Street.

Scheduled for May 8th, the event will close First Avenue West to Third Avenue West along Sheyenne Street to open the intersections up as canvases for local artists.

West Fargo Public Schools students and staff have been invited to participate in the event and submit artwork designs for consideration.

Choice Bank, Ferguson Books, Sheyenne Plaza, and Thunder Coffee each have a piece from a Sheyenne High artist and a West Fargo High artist.
