ND Senate Passes Bill Allowing Virtual Learning For Snow Make-Ups

(Bismarck, ND)  --  Snow days could become a thing of the past. The North Dakota Senate is advancing a bill to allow schools to use virtual learning to replace weather makeup days.  The House bill passed the Senate yesterday and lets schools turn to online learning to make up time missed because of weather or other emergency causes.  The bill includes accountability for how students learn in the virtual setting.  It also puts the Department of Public Instruction in charge of making rules regarding virtual learning.
