(Richardton, ND) -- A firefighter and a rancher's calves are injured after a fire north of Richardton. Strong winds and dry conditions fueled a grass fire that burned 880 acres Monday. Lack of visibility caused a firefighting truck to roll off the side of the road, injuring a member of the all-volunteer fire crew. The pickup with a pumping unit was damaged. Some calves belonging to a local rancher were harmed because of the fire, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.
