NDSU/USD Football Game Cancelled Due to Coronavirus

(Vermillion, SD) -- North Dakota State University says the Missouri Valley Football Conference has cancelled Saturday's game between the Bison and the University of South Dakota due to an apparent positive Coronavirus test and subsequent contact tracing among Tier 1 personnel on the NDSU team. According to a post on Facebook, NDSU says the game will not be rescheduled.

The Missouri Valley Football Conference has canceled the South Dakota-North Dakota State football game scheduled for today (Saturday, March 27) at 1 p.m. at the DakotaDome in Vermillion, S.D., due to a positive COVID-19 test and subsequent contact tracing in NDSU's Tier 1 personnel, which consists of student-athletes, coaches, managers and staff. The game will not be rescheduled.

Valley Football athletically related activities will take place only to the extent permitted by local environments and applicable national, state, local and institutional guidelines in order to safeguard the health and safety of participants, staff and fans.
