Protest Against Asian American Hate Held at NDSU

(Fargo, ND) -- A protest pushing for equity and equality rang out Friday afternoon outside North Dakota State University's campus.

Members of BLMNDSU, BSANDSU and BIPOC.FARGO all participated in the march, which focused on Asian American hate in wake of the recent shooting in Atlanta, targeting massage workers in the Asian community.

"It's showing the administration that hey, we're still here and we're not just going to forget about this", says Megan Schmidt, Student and Co-Runner of BIPOC.FARGO. "It's also a way for students of NDSU to get out, get involved and show those people of color and their classmates that we're here for you and we stand with you."

Well over a hundred people showed up for the protest, which marched from the student Union, out to and on University Drive.
