Coronavirus Tracker: 1,449 Cases, Nine New Deaths in Minnesota

(St. Paul, MN) -- Two major milestones hit, one good and one bad, in Minnesota as the Coronavirus pandemic rages on. 

The state department of health reported an additional 1,449 cases of the virus Friday, including nine in Clay County. This marks over 500,000 cases of the virus being reported in the state since the pandemic began.

Nine additional deaths were also reported over the past 24 hours.

1,337,892 Minnesotans have received at least one dose of the vaccine, while over 788,495 residents have been fully vaccinated.

There has now also been over two million doses of the vaccine distributed in the state, another major milestone.
