(Grand Forks, ND) -- Two people are in custody after leading police on a chase that ended in a crash. Grand Forks officers responded last night to a Walmart for a theft in progress. Police tried to stop the suspect vehicle, but driver Rani Howard took off, later trying to run officers off the road. The driver then made a U-turn and smashed into a marked patrol car. Both cars were disabled. Howard was arrested for reckless endangerment, driving under suspension, and multiple warrants.
