(Bismarck, ND) -- The North Dakota House is pushing forward a bill that would increase the state's gas tax. The bill would raise the current tax from 23-cents per gallon to 26-cents per gallon. The hike would be the first in over 15 years and would bring in nearly 44-million dollars over the next biennium. The funds would go towards road projects.
