Man Accused Of Killing Clay County Teen Withdraws Guilty Plea

(Fargo, ND)  --  The man accused of killing a Clay County teen last April is withdrawing his guilty plea and asking for the case to go to trial.  Ethan Broad's attorneys told a judge yesterday he changed his mind, after entering a guilty plea just last month.  Victim, 19-year-old Dystynee Avery, was murdered and dismembered last April.  Broad's sentencing hearing was supposed to be held yesterday and that's when his attorney informed the court he had changed his mind. Avery's family says they're blindsided by the decision.
