(Bismarck, ND) -- A state House committee is backing a measure that would provide temporary tax relief to North Dakota coal-fired power plants. The bill would offer the plants a five-year exemption from a part of the coal conversion tax they pay to the state's general fund. Many groups support the bill, but one environmental group is opposed.
