West Fargo Schools Names New Director of Human Resources

(West Fargo, ND) -- West Fargo Public Schools has it's woman.

Superintendent Beth Slette announced Thursday that Brittnee Nikle has accepted the position as the director of human resources for the district. 

Nikle began her career in human resources at North Dakota State University in 2000. In 2006, she was promoted to benefits coordinator, a position she held until 2011 when she accepted the role as North Dakota State University’s associate director of benefits and employee development. From 2015 – 2018, she served as the director of human resources at Fargo Public Schools before joining West Fargo Public Schools as the district’s recruitment and safety specialist.

Nikle holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis in human resources, from North Dakota State University. She is also certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and a Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).

After interviewing and hiring Nikle from a pool of highly qualified candidates, Superintendent Slette said, “We have been incredibly fortunate to have Ms. Nikle serve in her current role as the district’s recruitment and safety specialist. Her comprehensive knowledge of human resources, particularly within education, has become a valuable resource for our staff over the past two years. She has built relationships with employees at all levels – support staff, teachers, and administrators – that have positively impacted the operations of the school district. There is no question that she has the competency to be a strategic, fair, and compassionate leader, particularly with the recruitment, retention, and support of our 2,500 staff members.”

Nikle will officially assume her new role in March, following the retirement of the current director of human resources, Robin Hill.
