More light snow but bigger storm for the weekend possible?

Weather Update:

A few clipper systems early this week will bring some light snow to the area.  Although we are NOT expecting any big accumulations, 1" or so is possible over the next few days producing some scattered slippery spots. A brief warm up is anticipated on Wednesday with breezy conditions and temps in the 30s.  It won't last long, however, as more seasonally cold air will come down from Canada.  Of more importance is a possible storm system for the upcoming weekend.  Computer models are trending to take this storm through South Dakota and Southern Minnesota but we MAY be on the northern end of the snow band.  Something to definitely keep an eye on since we haven't had much snow this season.  One thing of note is there are strong signals of a pattern change starting next week which is expected to bring in much colder air to end the month and into February along with a good chance of adding to our snowpack.  Stay tuned
