LRC and a big chill on the way!!

Have you ever heard of the LRC?  Most people haven't.  It's called the Lezak Recurring Cycle.  It's growing in popularity and was coined by Gary Lezak, meteorologist in KC.  He's written many papers on this forecasting technique and here's how it works.  Every October a pattern starts to set up across the US.  This pattern typically will vary from 30 to 50 days. It's different each and every year.  Once the pattern sets up, it "cycles" through throughout the winter and even into the summer time.  Let's use this year for example.  This year's pattern is approx. 45 days.  Now lets go back to October when it was unusually cold and snowy around the 3rd week of the month.  Fast forward now to this month.  Right on track this same "pattern" is cycling back through our area 90 days later!!  Amazing isn't it?  What is expected during this "cycle"?I'm expecting a stormy pattern with snow along with some pretty frigid temps spilling in off the arctic. If you are a snow lover, we should FINALLY catch up a bit on our "snow drought"  Although we've experienced a pretty mild start to winter, things are about to change.
