USDA awards grants throughout North Dakota

 

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Office of Rural Development awarded ten grants totaling $541,357 to the following rural North Dakota organizations and areas:

$110,783 to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians to provide technical assistance to small businesses and entrepreneurs on the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa reservation and Rolette County;

$100,000 to Maddock Opera House Association to construct additional restaurant and storage space, 

$63,300 to the Jamestown Regional Entrepreneur Center to provide technical assistance to South Central North Dakota counties;

$56,100 to Bowman County Development Corporation to expand business development classes in Bowman County;

$52,391 to Adams County Development Corporation to purchase equipment for a local artisan coffee, tea, and gifts store;

$50,000 to Emerging Prairie to provide technical assistance and execute a business strategy;

$33,000 to the City of Beach to create an economic development strategy;

$28,545 to Divide Co. Development Authority to purchase a large mixing pot for In the Potter's Hand, Inc.;

$24,688 to Northern Plains Resource Conservation to create an app to connect local food producers with local families; and

$22,550 to Northern Plains Resource Conservation to provide an educational program for local food producers in northeast North Dakota.
