EPA awards over $176k to ND Department of Environmental Quality

 

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), Chairman of the Fisheries, Water, and Wildlife Subcommittee on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, announced today the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded $176,800 to the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality (NDDEQ).

This EPA grant will fund the Brownfield State Response Program. Specifically, the funds will be used for timely surveys and inventory of brownfield sites to investigate expansion, redevelopment, or reuse possibilities. It also includes oversight and enforcement authorities to ensure that response actions protect human health and the environment.
