Capital Electric Cooperative receives $12.75 million USDA loan

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office of Rural Development (RD) awarded Capital Electric Cooperative a loan totaling $12,750,000. This investment will be used to develop the Cooperative's headquarters facility in Bismarck. Capital Electric serves approximately 20,000 consumers over more than 2,740 miles of line in five counties in south central North Dakota.

The loans come through the USDA Electric Loan Program as a part of a $1.6 billion investment in 21 states to help build and improve electric lines and strengthen reliability to benefit residents and businesses in rural areas.
