North Dakota Mill and Elevator reports COVID-19 case

North Dakota Mill and Elevator President and CEO Vance Taylor has confirmed a positive case of COVID-19 within the North Dakota Mill and Elevator.

In an exclusive interview Sunday afternoon with WZFG News, Taylor says the case was discovered on Saturday. He says the individual testing positive worked in a smaller group of people, and it’s unknown whether or not there are more than the one case. Taylor says an investigation into the case is underway.

The mill and elevator was planned to be shut down this weekend, and will remain shut down during the course of the investigation. In addition to investigating, Taylor says the mill and elevator is going through a deep cleaning.

The North Dakota Mill and Elevator employs approximately 150 people.

“We are in the process of consulting with the North Dakota Health Department,” Taylor said.

Products produced at the mill are not affected by the case of COVID-19.

“Industry sources and experts say products are not an issue,” he said.
