BURGUM: Plug and Play coming to Fargo, focus on ag technology

Gov. Doug Burgum today joined officials from Plug and Play to announce that the global innovation platform has selected Fargo as the site of its newest location, with a focus on agriculture technology. Plug and Play is launching the Fargo location with four founding partners: Bremer Bank, CHS, Microsoft Corp. and The OCP Group.

“We’re grateful to Plug and Play and its corporate partners for their investment in North Dakota’s entrepreneurial ecosystem,” Burgum said. “As a national leader in agriculture and farm technology, North Dakota is an ideal place for startups from around the globe to test their technology, grow their companies and advance agriculture for our nation and world.”

Plug and Play expects to begin full operations in Fargo in late May. Startups accepted into the programs will get to work with the corporate partners and test their technology at the Grand Farm test site.
