Cramer joins colleague in issuing resolution condemning House Impeachment Inquiry

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) joined Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Mitch McConnell (R-KY), and several Republican colleagues to introduce a resolution condemning the House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry.

“The House’s impeachment investigation has been nothing more than secretive hearings and selective leaks designed to sway public opinion and hurt President Trump. It is a hyper-partisan process completely void of due process,” said Senator Cramer. “It is a disservice to the American people.”

The resolution calls on the House to 1) vote to initiate a formal inquiry before they proceed any further in their investigation, 2) provide President Trump the same due process protections that every other American President has received, allowing him to receive full access to the accusations against him, confront his accusers, and call witnesses on his behalf; and 3) give members of the House minority the ability to participate in all proceedings with equal authority to issue subpoenas. Click here to read the full resolution.
