Cramer issues floor remarks urging passage of USMCA

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) delivered remarks on the Senate floor today urging Congress to pass the United States-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) trade agreement.

“I applaud President Trump for delivering on his promise to secure an improved and superior North American trade deal. This agreement is a win for North Dakota and the country, and I hope Congress will ratify it as soon as possible,” said Senator Cramer. “House Democrats should focus less on taking away one person’s job and more on delivering this agreement which creates 176,000 new jobs in the United States.”

Senator Cramer highlighted the benefits USMCA would bring to North Dakota, as well as the importance of passing this deal as it relates to advancing other trade negotiations, like those with China. The White House is waiting for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to request USMCA be sent to Congress.
