Cramer issues statement on Democrats attempt to repeal part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act

U.S. Senator and Senate Budget Committee member Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement on Senate Democrats’ attempts to repeal the cap on the State And Local Tax (SALT) deduction of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act:

“Just one week after attempting to raise the American people’s cost of living, Senate Democrats are now trying to relitigate the 2017 tax cuts, which put more money in the taxpayers’ pockets and ignited our rocket ship economy. Repealing this cap delivers no benefit to working-class Americans and effectively forces people in lower-tax states like North Dakota to pay for the higher taxes in other states. Democrats have tried to undermine the tax cuts since the day they became law. It hasn’t worked before, and it won’t work now.”
