Congress passes resolution to fund federal government through November

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement on Congress passing a short-term Continuing Resolution (CR) to fund the government through November:

“I don’t like this. The only thing worse than a short-term CR would be a government shutdown. A CR only funds existing projects, hurting efforts to rebuild our military and preventing new projects from receiving the resources they need. With this additional time, I urge Democrats to put the partisan games aside and return to a normal appropriations process.”

This legislation passed the House last week and now heads to the President’s desk for his signature. It will keep the government funded through November 21, 2019.
