North Dakota projects receive grants from USDA Rural Development

 

U.S. Senator and Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee member Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today two North Dakota projects received grants totaling $2,559,853 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD).

Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa received $2,000,000 to construct water supply improvements for the residents of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians in Rolette County. The Bureau of Reclamation has provided an additional $244,696 to complete the project.

The City of New England in Hettinger County received a $559,853 grant to improve and replace portions of the city’s water and sewer systems. USDA will provide an additional $1,790,147 in a repair loan/grant combination to complete the project.
